Some day there will be a “Who Killed The Electric Car” styled documentary on the death (or life?) of classical music. Everybody; the composers, the audiences, the record labels, are to blame.
For one, they should stop calling it classical music. That word carries this air about it that seemingly shuts people out. But I can’t think of a better name. What do we call music made by Hauschka, Max Richter, Olafur Arnalds, or other composers alive today. Contemporary New Music? Ugh.
