Neven Mrgan, on Twitter’s promoted tweets and third-party twitter clients, writes:

…third-party Twitter clients are left in an uncomfortable situation – how do they charge for a product which displays ads? (in a market where it’s difficult enough to charge for excellent products without ads.) If they make money on their own ads, will their users tolerate twice the marketing for the same price?

I wondered the same thing.
