Icon for the Save button is still a floppy disk, despite the fact that Apple hasn’t sold a machine with a floppy drive for a decade.
I wondered how Apple does this. How does Apple show the meaning of save for saving to a hard drive?
They don’t.
You want to save? Go up to File, or hit Command+S.
Microsoft could’ve solved this problem by choosing not to solve it.
