Pitchfork gives Nine Inch Nails’ Ghosts I-IV a wishy-washy review.
If I were one of those early deluxe-pacakge customers, I’d want my $300 back.
For me, Ghosts ranks near the bottom of NiN albums. I like it fine, but it hardly competes with Year Zero or Downward Spiral. It’s not really meant to. But I think that there’s something to be said about how this album took off because two things:
- It’s Nine Inch Nails
- It’s the distribution method
Both good things, but not why music should be popular, imo.
