iPods get smaller.
No DRM is good, but it’s always something.
- 80 GB iPod =
20,00010,000 songs - 160 GB ipod =
40,00020,000 songs - 4 GB iPod Nano =
1,000500 songs - 1 GB iPod Shuffle =
240120 songs
Just when you thought you’d be able to fit your whole collection on one of these things, the collection got bigger.
But then again, everything’s going this way. Amazon and iTunes are now selling 256kbps tracks. Bleep sells 320kbps tracks.
Once/If Apple starts selling lossless tracks, smart users will encode them down to their preferred bitrate. Ignorant users will buy bigger iPods.
