If every day in the studio costs money and cuts in to your advance I can see the appeal of sprucing up your vocals like that just to get it done. Apparently, she was talking to a "studio guy" and asked how many people <i>do not</i> use it, and he said that the only other person who didn't use it was Nelly Furtado.
